The Worship Ministry exists to create God-centered worship services that lead people to worship our Creator with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. The worship ministry includes our Praise Band, Praise Team, Tech Team, Worship Choir and Drama Team. Psalm 95:1, 2 & 6 say, “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song…Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” It is our goal to lead worship on Sunday morning that inspires people to worship through song in response to God’s greatness, His mercy and His love.

The praise team consists of talented singers who have a desire to use that talent to worship God. Our praise team serves on a monthly rotating schedule and includes sopranos, altos and tenors. It is not required that you are able to read music but singing one of the parts listed above is very important. A tryout/interview is required to become a member of the praise team.
The praise band includes musicians who play a variety of instruments. We currently worship using acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano/keyboard, drums, bass guitar and dulcimer. We welcome anyone who plays an instrument other than the ones listed above as well. The band serves on a rotating monthly schedule and requires a tryout/interview to become a member of the team.

Members of our tech team are the behind the scenes people. They are a vital part to making our services happen every week. Their responsibilities include sound, lights, music/sermon slides and videos. These men and women are people who have been blessed with technical skill and knowledge and want to use that ability to worship God. If you would like to join the tech team, please contact Josh to schedule an interview.
Beginning in November our worship choir will sing every 3rd Sunday of the month. Rehearsals are held Thursday nights on the 2 weeks prior to the 3rd Sunday from 6:30-8:30 pm. No tryout is required to sing in the worship choir. If you have any questions contact Brenda Cooper at cooper5b@msn.com.
From time to time we use drama skits in our worship to enhance the service and emphasize the theme for that day. If you are an experienced actor/actress and have been looking for a way to use your talent for Christ, this is the team for you. Please contact Brad Bower at bbower@columbus.rr.com.
